Description
Cycas revoluta, commonly called the Sago Palm, is a slow-growing, cycad plant admired for its symmetrical rosette of stiff, glossy, dark green fronds. Although not a true palm, it resembles one with its stout trunk and palm-like crown. Typically growing 3 to 5 feet tall and wide, it is ideal for pots, rock gardens, and focal landscaping in warm climates. The Sago Palm prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and long-lived—perfect for adding a prehistoric, sculptural accent to gardens, patios, and indoor spaces.
