Arrival Instructions

Unbox immediately, inspect for softness — normal during transport.
Keep in shaded, breezy area for 2-3 days.
Water gently with 1-2 liters to rehydrate.
Begin planting once the plant stabilizes.

Expert Tip

To boost fruit production, remove weaker stems in spring — this lets energy focus on stronger fruiting canes.

Planting And Care

Use mix: 40% soil, 30% compost, 30% sand or coco peat.
Soak plant roots for 15-20 mins, loosen gently, plant at same depth, and water well.

Sunlight

Choose a sunny to lightly shaded area with 5-6 hours of light. Dig a 2x2 ft hole or use a 20"+ container.

Watering

Blackberries need consistent moisture — especially while fruiting.
Young plants: Water every 3-4 days with 2-3 liters.
Mature plants: Water every 5-6 days with 4-6 liters.
Mulch base in summer to retain cool soil and prevent drying.

Fertilizing

Feed with fruit fertilizer (NPK 5-10-10) in early spring and post-harvest.
Apply compost or banana water monthly for better berry size.

Pruning

After harvest, cut back old canes to promote new growth.
Tie new canes to trellis or fence for space-saving structure.

Weather Protection

In frost-prone zones, mulch base in January.
In hot zones, use shade cloth and increase watering during June-July.
