Arrival Instructions

Unbox immediately and inspect the plant — minor wilting is normal after shipping.
Place it in a shaded, open-air area for 2-3 days to recover.
Water lightly with 1-2 liters of clean water.
Avoid planting immediately — let the plant rest and adjust first. After rest, follow the planting steps below for best results.

Expert Tip

Thin the fruit when it's marble-sized — keep only one fruit every 4-6 inches. This helps your tree produce larger, sweeter, and more flavorful plums.

Planting And Care

Fill with a mix of 40% soil, 30% compost, and 30% sand.
Remove the plant gently from its pot, loosen outer roots, and soak the root ball in water for 15-20 minutes.
Place the plant in the hole at the same depth as the nursery pot. Fill, press down lightly, and water thoroughly.

Sunlight

Select a sunny location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Dig a 2x2 ft planting hole. For containers, use a 24" wide pot with drainage holes.

Watering

Young plants: Water every 3-4 days using 2-3 liters.
Mature trees: Water once a week using 8-10 liters deeply.
Always check 2 inches below the surface — if dry, it's time to water.
Apply mulch to retain moisture and keep roots cool.

Fertilizing

Apply NPK 10-10-10 fertilizer in early spring and after fruiting.
Boost naturally with compost or well-rotted cow dung twice per year (spring and autumn).

Pruning

Prune lightly in winter to remove dead or crossing branches.
Open up the tree's center to improve airflow and prevent pests.
Regularly remove suckers or water sprouts from the base.

Weather Protection

In frost-prone areas, wrap young trunks in cloth during January-February.
In very hot areas, mulch heavily and water early in the morning to prevent root stress.
