Minneola Tangelos may need hand-pollination if grown in isolation. Use a soft brush to move pollen between flowers. Deep watering during fruit swell helps improve juice content and size.

Planting And Care
Sunlight

Outdoor: Choose a warm, sunny spot with 6-8 hours of direct sun.
Pot: Use a 14-20 inch wide pot with drainage holes. Place in full sun and shelter during frost.

Watering

Water deeply when the top 2-3 inches of soil feel dry. Avoid watering during flowering. In summer, water 2-3 times per week. In winter, reduce to once a week or less.

Fertilizing

Apply a citrus fertilizer monthly from March to September. For younger trees, use lighter doses. Avoid fertilizing after September to prevent tender growth before winter.

Pruning

Remove any suckers from below the graft union. Prune lightly after harvest to shape and allow airflow. Always cut dead, diseased, or crossing branches.

Weather Protection

If temperatures drop below 10C, move potted trees indoors or to a warm verandah. For in-ground trees, use frost cloth during severe cold spells.

About Minneola Tangelo Tree

The Perfect Cross: Tangerine Meets Grapefruit

The Minneola Tangelo is a hybrid citrus, born from a cross between a tart grapefruit and a sweet tangerine. The result is a juicy, sweet-tart fruit that's easy to peel, bursting with flavor, and excellent for eating fresh or juicing. Its unique bell shape and deep orange skin make it a standout in any garden, with a low seed count and intensely aromatic profile.

Grows Best in Pakistan's Warm Zones

Minneola Tangelo Trees thrive in the hot, dry regions of southern and central Pakistan — including Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and parts of Sindh.
