Train vines to grow horizontally or over arches — this exposes more fruit to sun and increases grape sweetness and size.
Mix 40% sandy soil, 30% compost, 30% organic material or coco peat.
Remove from pot, loosen roots, and soak for 15-20 mins. Plant at nursery depth, backfill gently, and water thoroughly.
Select a sunny spot (6-8 hrs/day). Dig a 2x2 ft hole, or use a 20"+ pot with support.
Keep soil moist but not soggy.
Young plants: Water every 3-4 days with 2-3 liters.
Mature vines: Water every 5-7 days using 5-6 liters.
Water early morning or evening. Add mulch to hold moisture.
Apply balanced grape fertilizer (10-10-10) in spring and after fruiting.
Use compost or banana peel water every 6 weeks.
Prune after fruiting to shape vine and boost production.
Remove tangled or unproductive stems regularly.
Wrap base with cloth in January-February in colder regions.
During hot spells, water deeply and use shade netting if needed.
