Plant Details
Everything you need to know before you plant
Outdoor: Choose a sunny location that gets 6-8 hours of sunlight daily. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball.
Pot: Use a wide pot (14-18 inches) with drainage holes. Move indoors when temperatures drop below 10C.
Check the top 2-3 inches of soil — if it's dry, it's time to water. Water 2-3 times per week in summer and once weekly in cooler weather. Always avoid overwatering.
Start feeding when new growth appears or fruit sets. Use citrus fertilizer monthly from March to September. If leaves yellow in winter, give a light feed once or twice.
Trim dead or damaged branches. Shape your tree to keep it neat and open for airflow. Best time to prune is before flowering in early spring.
In colder cities, bring the tree indoors or to a warm space when nights get cold. Keep it near a sunny window or under a grow light.
